Three charged in connection with Liam Payne’s death
Liam Payne (1993 – 2024) was an English singer and songwriter who was a member of the pop band
One Direction.
Argentinian authorities claim that three people have been charged in connection with the death of
One Direction singer Liam Payne.
The singer died on 16 October, falling from the third-floor balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel.
One person, who had been walking beside Payne is accused of ‘abandonment of a person followed by
death,’ ” Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s O ce said.
He, 31, is a father-of-one who got one of the most recognizable names in pop after appearing on The X
Factor and rising to fame with the boy band One Direction in the 2010s.
A post-mortem examination revealed that his cause of death was multiple trauma and internal and
external haemorrhage from the fall.
They do not stop digging into the broken laptop of Payne and other seized devices.
The singer’s body has been released to his family to fly back to the UK on Wednesday.
Thousands of fans also paid tribute to the late singer at memorial events in the UK and around the
world.
