Actress Human served out her full sentence by October 2020 after spending 11 days of a 14 day prison term, completing 250 hours of community service, and serving one year of supervised release.
Human says. ” I worked with a fantastic college counselor named Rick Singer. I worked with him for a year. Trusted him completely. He was the one that made the recommendations of programs and tutors. And after a year, he started saying, ‘Your daughter is not going to get into any of the colleges she wants to’. So, I believed him.
And for saving my daughters’ future, I have paid him money to change my daughters’ answers.
People assumed that I went in there looking for a way to cheat the system and make all sorts of proverbial criminal deals in back alleys.
Her actor-spouse William H. Macy was not indicted in connection to the scam. Meanwhile, Singer was jailed for three-and-a-half years in prison and was ordered to forfeit $ 10 million this January.
