Harris is expected to call Trump to concede the 2024 presidential race

Vice President Harris is ex expected to call president-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday to concede the 2024 presidential race and also to speak publicly, two Harris aides said. Harris is likely to address the nation at 4 pm ET at Howard University, her alma mater. In the meantime, she is writing her speech, one of her aides reported.
Harris, 60, launched her presidential campaign just days after President Joe Biden, 81, suspended his
campaign July 21 and announced he supports her as the Democratic Party nominee. Biden quit after what he described as a bad night in a June presidential debate against Trump, after key party members voiced serious fears about his age and his prospect of winning in the general election and serving another four years in the White House.
She had repeatedly referred to herself as the “underdog” in the 2024 contest, struggling at times to distance herself from Biden.
Her pitch to voters included an “opportunity economy” that would help the middle class while taxing the
wealthy; promise to sign a bill into law codifying the protections Roe v. Wade abortion rights; help to make rent a ordable and also to help the cost of home health care of families
